I qualified with Equine Holistic NAREMT in Equine Massage (with distinction) a couple of years ago and since then have spent time continuing my studies and learning new techniques. These include Equine Myofascial Release, TTouch, Red Light Therapy, Theory and Apllication of the Fascial Edge Tool, Equine Biomechanics (The Open College of Equine Studies), and the Theory, Research and Practical Rehabilitation in relation to Equine Back and Pelvis Pathology.
I am particularly interested in the asymmetry of horses and how it can affect them emotionally and physically. I have recently enrolled on the Straightness Training Mastery (at entry level) with Marijke de Jong, and am working through a rehabilitation programme with my own horse following diagnosis of kissing spines. Straightness training has become an important part of her programme and we are making great progress with in hand work. She is also 'transitioning' to barefoot and I am hoping that the combination will result in a healthy and happy horse!
I am available for Equine Massage for horses in livery with us and will also travel to clients throughout Devon and Cornwall. Please email for more details.
